MessageSpace is a political advertising and media company. We operate a digital advertising network encompassing the most influential politics & current affairs websites in the UK alongside a full-service media agency for political and policy advertisers.

We provide specialist political media services and consultancy to our clients. We help them to design and execute multimedia advertising campaigns that reach political insiders and influence the national conversation ahead of mainstream and social media.

The Role

We are seeking an Account Executive to take on a varied role within the business.

The role will suit an early career candidate with a desire to work in a fast paced start-up environment. The ideal candidate will be most happy multi-tasking, have a keen eye for detail, pride themselves on their organisational skills and be comfortable using new digital software and systems.

The role will have a strong focus on business development, including assisting the sales team in the daily servicing of client accounts and conducting business marketing operations and administration. The Executive will also proactively seek out new business opportunities for the company.

On a day-to-day basis the successful candidate will be responsible for administrative tasks essential to the smooth running of a busy advertising business. The candidate will also from time-to-time manage diaries and schedules.

In addition, the successful candidate will engage with existing and new clients from day one, gaining exposure to business negotiations and pitching via email, telephone, virtual and in-person meetings.

MessageSpace is a small but growing business. A desire to work independently in a free-form, start-up environment is essential.


£30,000 OTE

(£25,000 basic salary + uncapped commission)


You must be a supremely organised individual, who has the skills to excel in sales and administration tasks typical of a busy agency environment. You should have a desire to work with external clients, a professional and confident phone-manner, an eye for detail, excellent spoken and written English and strong communication and presentation skills. You should also be a digital native, comfortable and confident working in an all-digital environment, and able to pick up new software skills quickly

6 months into the job, you can expect to have gained the the following skills:

  • Familiarity with the digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Understanding of data analytics for online advertising.
  • Proficiency in internal systems and administration
  • Responsibility as the go-to point of contact for sales administration at the agency.
  • Confidence in communicating with clients and bringing new business to the agency.
  • Competence in the use of cloud based applications for day-to-day processes.

Comprehensive training in all MessageSpace systems will be provided. The successful candidate will have full support from a line manger and the senior agency leadership.

Of the highest importance are a positive attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and a hunger to contribute to a unique business in an exciting period of its growth. These attributes are more important than anything else.
