By May 2024, UK cardiac waiting lists reached unprecedented levels, creating a critical public health issue due to the time-sensitive nature of heart disease. BHF partnered with MessageSpace to develop a targeted digital campaign to raise awareness among political decision-makers, generate signatures for their government petition and boost their national press campaign.
Results:
- The campaign was delivered across influential political platforms including LabourList, ConservativeHome, The Spectator and Guido Fawkes – making sure BHF’s message was engaging policymakers across party lines
- Reached over 500,000 politically engaged users
- Drove exceptional click-through rates, exceeding benchmark rates and achieving up to 0.38%
- Generated nearly 50,000 petition signatures
- Significantly increased awareness among key decision-makers
